Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance produced by skin cells and is found abundantly in young skin (both on the epidermis and dermis) where it functions to keep skin youthful, supple, elastic, smooth, hydrated and toned and also functions as a natural skin moisturizer.

Hyaluronic acid binds to water molecules, holding up to 1,000 times its weight in moisture.
